Secondary Resource Teacher

annieknierMrs. Annie Knier

My name is Annie Knier, and I am very excited to be a part of Ankeny Christian Academy!

I was raised in a Christian home and attended church regularly. It was not until the fifth grade, however, that I truly understood the meaning of Christ’s death on the cross for me and committed my life to following him.

I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis-St. Paul, but moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan while I attended Calvin College. After graduating with degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education, I married my husband and moved back to the Twin Cities. I taught fourth grade for two years at a charter school in St. Paul. My husband, Stephen, and I relocated to the Ankeny area this summer because he will be attending medical school at Des Moines University.

My life verse is Micah 6:8, “ He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
