My name is Wendy Reitsma and I’ve been working at ACA since August 2015. I’ve always had a tender heart for young children and was a stay at home mother for many years prior to working in child care.
My husband and I have 3 beautiful children that have all attended Ankeny Christian Academy since kindergarten. Prior to being employed at the school I enjoyed volunteering for many years in the ACA school lunchroom.
I came to know Christ in my early twenties. It was my husband that starting sharing God’s Word with me when I met him a few years earlier. I professed my faith in Jesus Christ in front of my family and church and was also baptized when I was 23.
I’m blessed to work and send my children to a school where we can pray and share God’s Word daily with our young children. The Bible reminds us that children are truly a gift from God. Children help us to grow closer to Him, teaching us forgiveness and patience as well as bringing great joy to our lives!
