Christ-Centered Discipleship
Our students are poured into spiritually through their classes, including a daily Bible class and weekly Chapel. Our students learn specifically throughout middle school what it means to be a disciple of Christ, spending time learning about Christian organizations, missionaries and authors. Our middle schoolers also participate in a day of service, where they spend the entire day serving a local non-profit.
Our students are also given opportunities to share their gifts and talents. They can participate in leading worship music in Chapel and participate in our Faith in Action class. This class, held quarterly, raises money for local causes. The students are given a small amount of seed money and asked to use their talents to build upon that amount to donate to a local non-profit.
Authentic Relationships
Our middle school teacher team uses a unique strategy to best serve our students. They meet daily to collectively plan together, ensuring the students are receiving the best instruction and guidance from the team.
Because ACA hosts Begindergarten through 12th grade in one buidlilng, it creates special opporutnities for our middles choolers to develpo meaningful relationships with our begindergareners, kindergarten and first grade students. They also learn the value of mentoring younger students through a variety of activities - social, spiritual and academic.
“In Math, we do a lot of small group work at whiteboards where students use inquiry-based learning to solve real-life math problems. They love collaborating and they are able to share their thoughts and problem solve together in a way that promotes rich dialogue, increases critical thinking skills, and deepens understanding.” - Marcia Lozada, Middle School Math Teacher
