Seal of Biliteracy

High school students enrolled at Ankeny Christian Academy have the opportunity to qualify for the Iowa Seal of Biliteracy.  Should students be able to demonstrate proficiency in both English and another language, they will be awarded a seal on their transcript to inform employers, universities, and scholarship providers that they have reached at least an intermediate level of proficiency in two or more languages.

Students may demonstrate their proficiency in English through one of the following tests:

To demonstrate proficiency in Spanish, French, or another language students will have the opportunity to take the STAMP test (Standards Based Measurement of Proficiency) at ACA.  Students must score at the Intermediate-Mid (5) range or above on all components of the test (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).  Students will be able to take the test at ACA, but will be responsible for the cost of the test.

You can read more about the Seal of Biliteracy and find other accepted tests by visiting the Iowa Department of Education website.  You can find more information about the STAMP test on their website.

If you have questions you may contact Mrs. Guillen.
