Project Serve

"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

What is Project Serve?

"Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve." Matthew 20:28a

Christ-centered discipleship is a top priority at ACA. Project Serve is one way that ACA students, staff, and families can become better disciples by using their God given gifts to serve each other and our community.  ACA’s mission of building Christ-like character in tomorrow’s leaders is bolstered as we help our students learn about their roles in the community, church, and family by putting the needs of others ahead of their own during Project Serve.

Serving Others

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." 1 Peter 4:10

ACA families will be serving our school by raising funds for the renovation of our chapel/auditorium throughout February and March. Also, our students, staff, and faculty will serve the community and various ministries when they go out and help with various projects. Some of the main events during Project Serve include:

  • A meal packing event on Wednesday, February 7 with Meals from the Heartland. This event is paid for by local sponsors and all students in Begindergarten through 12th grade participate.
  • Special projects in elementary classrooms serving ministries chosen by each classroom teacher.
  • Community Service day for Middle School and High School students on Friday, April 5.

Supporting Project Serve

This is our 9th year of Project Serve!  We have used money raised through Project Serve to buy a new school van, resurface the playground, and to purchase new lockers for our 6th grade students. The money raised this year will go toward the school’s Chapel/Auditorium renovation project.  Our goal is to raise $170,000 which when added to the $130,000 already raised at our Legacy Gala will bring us to our total renovation budget of $300,000.
