Preschool

Ankeny Christian Academy offers a 3 and 4 year old Preschool program. There is a theme each week along with a letter from the alphabet, colors and numbers. The Preschool Department is currently using the ABeka curriculum. Our Preschool curriculum is taught from a biblical worldview, and our teachers are allowed to show the love of Christ in practical ways. Preschool teachers work directly with ACA kindergarten teachers to prepare students for kindergarten. ACA has five preschool staff: two teachers, one support staff, and two childcare staff who provide care before and after preschool.

There are two programs each year including a Christmas Program in December and a Spring Program in April. Our four-year-old class enjoys field trips to the Apple Orchard in the Fall and the Zoo in the Spring.

Our pre-school program includes a balance of opportunities for the development of the whole child from a Biblical perspective. Age appropriate activities encourage the child’s development spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. Every child’s uniqueness is taken into consideration as they are nurtured and stimulated to grow and learn. ACA Preschool and Child Care is licensed by the State of Iowa.

ACA's preschool is located on Faith Baptist Bible College's campus in a newly renovated building. This allows for our preschool students to be a part of fun activities, like tractor rides around campus in the fall, and having interactions with college students who are pursuing early childhood education.
