I was born and raised in a Christian home where we all were in church anytime the doors were open. At the age of 5, I accepted Jesus as my Savior and was baptized about a year later. However, as I grew physically, I did not grow spiritually. It wasn’t until I was a Junior at Faith Baptist Bible College that I made certain of my salvation and committed myself to making God the Lord of my life and to follow His will for my life. Because of my experience, God has given me a passion to minister to students in Christian schools – to those who have been born and raised in Christian homes but haven’t made their relationship with Christ personal.
I am a proud graduate of Grandview Park Baptist School (now Grand View Christian) and of Faith Baptist Bible College. After college I spent four years teaching in Michigan, twelve years in Waterloo, and the last seventeen years in Louisville, Kentucky – all in Christian schools.
Outside the classroom, I am an avid sports enthusiast, especially college football and basketball (Go Hawkeyes!). I also love to read, although teaching limits my time to do so.
I am excited to be a part of the ACA family and am looking forward to see how I can be used by God to make an eternal difference in the lives of students.
