Hello, my name is Kaylee Brugioni. I am excited to be one of the middle school teachers at Ankeny Christian Academy. Each year, I look forward to meeting my students and learning about each one of them and their families.

First let me tell you a little about myself. Since I was little, Christ and the church have been a part of my life. My parents brought me to every church function provided. I went to Vacation Bible School, church camp in the summer, and they even enrolled me in a private elementary school for education. Christ has always been a part of my life and still is a big part of my life. When I was around the age of 12 years old, I realized the truth that Christ died for my sins and rose again for me. At that time I gave my life over to Christ proclaiming him as my Lord and Savior.

When I reached high school, I transferred from a private school to a public school for the activities they offered and realized I missed the Christ-centered education. Even though I attended a public school, I wanted to grow my faith in Christ. I had such a strong Christian education, and I knew what it meant to follow Christ. After high school I was called to further my education at a small private Christian school, Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. There I was very involved with cheerleading, dance, and student activities.

Since graduating, I was a substitute teacher for surrounding schools in the Des Moines area. I  also spent the last two years coaching for Citylight Sports in cheerleading and sharing the love of God with all my cheerleaders. God has also blessed me with a group of young adults who live in community as Christ called us to do. We focus on what it means to live as Christ did and share our faith with those around us.

God is moving mountains in my life each day, and I cannot wait to see how God moves in the classroom. This year is going to be filled with lots of science, but most importantly learning about God and his love for each one of us. May God bless each and every one of you this year.
