My name is Cheryl Schroeder, and I have been blessed to be a teacher for almost 40 years. Prior to coming to ACA, I spent my first sixteen years in the public school system and then thirteen years in a Christian school setting. The majority of my experience is with English/Language Arts and Yearbook. I am presently teaching freshmen and sophomore English/Language Arts and serving as the yearbook advisor. I am also blessed to work with the elected student leaders as their Student Council Advisor.
I am married to my best friend, Larry. We have two wonderful children Kylie and Nic, and three precious grandchildren. We live in Grimes and live very active lives. I love to spend time with family and friends, be in God’s creation hiking, fishing, kayaking, and trying to live each day to His glory by intentionally being His hands and feet.
I love the Lord above all else. I love spending time getting to know Him better through His Word. He continues to mold and shape me more and more into the person He desires for me to be. I love serving the Lord by serving others. I am passionate about mentoring young people spiritually and find teaching an absolute privilege. There is nothing more motivating than to see a young person devoted to God. I look at each day as an opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior.
