My name is Lori Blake. Although I have an English degree, I spent most of my work life in sales, radio broadcasting, and the legal profession. In addition to hosting a morning radio show, I also served as interim Production Manager at the Barn Theatre in Minnesota and spent some time on stage as well.
I am married to Dave Blake who works at Unity Point as a respiratory therapist. We love music and have played in a music ensemble together for many years. We also enjoy spending time with our three precious grandchildren, Paige, Landon, and Hayley, bicycling, fishing, gardening and attending many soccer games.
I grew up in a Christian home and put my faith in Christ when I was a young child. Through the years, God has shown me how completely and utterly dependent I am on him and that Christ is my greatest treasure. I believe reading good literature is very important. It helps us understand the world, the people around us and even ourselves more fully. It is a blessing to work in a place where the Bible is taught and discussed. I am looking forward to serving at Ankeny Christian Academy, getting to know students and pointing them to Jesus. God is good. His timing is perfect.
