I was saved at about 8 years old. I knew I was a sinner headed for hell and only Jesus’ sacrifice for my sins could save me. My parents were strong Christians, so I grew up attending church knowing that I wanted to serve God with my life. After high school, I attended Faith Baptist Bible College, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. For a year I taught at Calvary Christian Academy in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Then it was back to attend Iowa State University where after three years I graduated with a degree in Physical Education. During those three years, I was the Assistant Basketball Coach at Faith Baptist Bible College. When I graduated, FBBC offered me a position as Athletic Director/Coach where I served for 10 years. In August of 2000, I married my wife, Jennifer. We now have three children – Jordan, Jonathan, and Katelyn. I worked at Aspen Athletic Clubs as Activities Director and Facility Manager for 18 years. I also completed a Master’s Degree through ISU in Sport Management.
The opportunity to get back into Christian school athletics is exciting to me. I believe God led us here to make an impact on lives not only through leading the athletic program, but also in daily contacts with students, teachers, parents and families. I also want the facilities to continue to be a great place to send your children.
