Mrs. Cheryl Schroeder
My name is Cheryl Schroeder, and I have been blessed to be a teacher for over 30 years. Prior to coming to ACA, I spent my first fifteen years in the public school system and then thirteen years in a Christian school setting. Most of my experience has been with 6th – 8th grade in the areas of English/Language Arts and Life Skills. I also taught 9th grade Language Arts for approximately five years. In addition to teaching, I have coached both volleyball and junior high track for several years.
I am married to my best friend, Larry. We have two wonderful children Kylie and Nic, and three grandchildren. We live in Grimes and live very active lives. I love to spend time with family and friends, exercise, ride our motorcycle, camp, read, and cook.
I love the Lord above all else. I love spending time getting to know Him better through His Word. He continues to mold and shape me more and more into the person He desires for me to be. I love serving the Lord by serving others. I am passionate about mentoring young people spiritually and find teaching an absolute privilege. There is nothing more motivating than to see a young person devoted to God. I look at each day as an opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior.
