The Lord allowed me to be raised in a Christian, loving family. My father was attending seminary to become a pastor, and I was taken to church regularly. Our home was a Christ-centered place where I memorized God’s Word. I believe this allowed the seeds of the gospel to be planted in my young life. I know God’s Word is alive because at the age of 5 I recognized I could not be good enough for heaven. I remember clearly my mom using questions to let the Holy Spirit convict my heart. One evening I sat on the curb waiting eagerly for my dad. I knew I needed to be saved. We prayed and I accepted Jesus as my Savior. He brought me into His family, and a year later I was baptized. I wanted everyone to know that I loved Jesus and wanted to follow Him. His steadfast love is truly amazing. I only know I am a Christian by what Jesus did for me on the cross.
