I have been an educator for over twenty-eight years in the areas of Science, Physical Education, and Health. I also have thirty-eight years of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school and junior high levels, and ten years of experience in athletic administration.
I have a passion for working with young people. I receive a tremendous amount of joy and gratification in serving them. What a privilege it is to share that same love that Christ has for me with the young people with whom I work. Nothing is more inspiring to me than to see young people fall in love with Jesus.
At the age of twenty-six, I made a decision to stop riding the fence and seek Jesus with all my heart and soul. I am so grateful for the freedom to be in His Word every day. What a blessing it is to know that our Living God is a God of miracles and that He is the same yesterday, today and forever! I desire that every young person I work with sense the deep love I have for Jesus, and my passion for helping them grow deeper in their relationship with Him. It is an awesome responsibility to be in a position in which we can disciple young people and help them understand that
the God we serve wants to be intimate with us and desires for us to need Him and seek Him.
Cheryl and I have two wonderful children, Nic and Kylie and three grandchildren. We live in Grimes, Iowa. Our family is a very active family. We love to hunt, fish, camp and exercise. We serve on several ministry teams through our local church, as well as serving others in Marital/Premarital counseling and Life Coach mentoring through our ministry, “Living in HIS Victory.” Since the publishing of my first book, God is continuing to open doors of opportunity to speak at churches, conferences, men’s groups and college Christian groups.
It is honor and a privilege to be a part of the ACA family; I am so excited to build relationships with the students of ACA.
