Instrumental Music Teacher

Mrs. Danae Coleman

My name is Danae Coleman, and I am excited to teach instrumental music here at Ankeny Christian Academy.

I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home. When I was three years old, I understood and accepted the fact that I was a sinner (Romans 3:23), that God loved me so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for my sins (John 3:16; Romans 5:8), and that Christ rose again in triumph over death (1 Corinthians 15). When I reached Jr. High, I realized that my life was not just about being saved and moving through life. It is about glorifying God in everything I do. With this in mind, I decided to attend Faith Baptist Bible College where I received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Sacred Music.

My goal in teaching is to not only teach my students about music but to also teach them more about who God is and how they can glorify Him with their lives.

My favorite Scripture passage is 1 Corinthians 15 because it explains the hope that I have in Christ. I especially like the last 8 verses. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
