Hello, I am Kelli Moore. My husband Seth and I have four children. We have sent our children to ACA since our oldest started four year old preschool and have just loved having our children be a part of Christian education and ACA.  God has done great things in the lives of our young children and it has been a joy to watch them grow through the Christian education offered here at ACA. It was because of that we felt God’s leading for me to pursue a teaching career at ACA.

I was raised in a loving Christian home. When I was in fourth grade I was attending youth group with my family, since my older brother was in youth group and my parents were the leaders. Our pastor was talking about how to get to heaven.  He was putting forth the illustration of two sides and we are on one side and God is on the other. The only way to get to God’s side was by the cross and that the cross is our bridge. He explained that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and took the punishment that we so thoroughly deserve and that if we ask him to come in to our lives and admit that we are sinners He will forgive us of those sins and come into our lives and grant us salvation from our sins. This is exactly what I did that night. I recognized that I was a sinner and I asked God to be Lord of my life and to grant me salvation through Jesus Christ who paid it all.  A few weeks later I followed up with believers’ baptism. Since accepting Christ into my life I strive to be more like Christ and grow with Him and live my life for Him so that others can see Christ through me.

I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was as young as first grade.  After high school, I attended the University of Northern Iowa and got my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a endorsement in Special Education from birth to third grade. While student teaching, I taught in a preschool room along with placements in kindergarten and first grade. I have taught four years of regular and special education preschool in Sidney, Iowa.  God then moved us to Missouri and I didn’t know why. Well, it was because my oldest son had just been born and unbeknownst to us, he required a liver transplant when he was 3 months old. God knew we needed to be in Missouri to receive the best care for him. We got through that trial and I tried to teach preschool again, but after half a year he got really sick so I had to stop.  I have been home taking care of my family since then. In 2017, we felt God leading me back to the classroom and He provided a part-time position here at ACA teaching the computer classes. I am excited to now be on full time here at ACA teaching in the elementary classroom. I continue to look forward to what God has planned.
