My name is Melissa Hult, and I am super excited to begin my eighth year of teaching kindergarten here at ACA! It will be a great joy to teach yet another group of kiddos, including many siblings of former students as well as many new little friends! I trust God will bless our year together.
Please allow me to share with you a little bit more about myself. I was blessed to grow up in a home where both of my parents knew Christ as their personal Savior. Every day, my brother and I had the opportunity to hear about our Great God and His love for us as sinners! We spent much time learning the truth of God’s Word, and as I got older, the Holy Spirit helped me understand I had sinned against my Creator and was, therefore, separated from Him. I had nothing to offer the Lord, but He came to rescue me. There came a point where I accepted an incredible gift and, in doing so, I was the recipient of a most unfair trade. Jesus had lived a perfect life for me, so He could then die in my place on the cross, taking my sin and punishment. He rose again, and in His grace and mercy, He granted me His perfect record. My salvation has nothing to do with me, rather I rejoice and trust in all God has done for me and in me to make me His own!
Titus 2:14 says that Christ “gave Himself to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.” His plan for my life meant saving me so I could serve Him and tell others about Him. From a very young age, the Lord had given me a love for children, and after high school, He led me to Faith Baptist Bible College to study to become a teacher. I graduated from Faith in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and I completed work for my Reading Endorsement three months later. The Lord led me to ACA at that time. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with students and their families and rehearse on a daily basis the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor.13:14)!
