Academic Excellence

ACA elementary teachers are dedicated to teaching our students about the love of Jesus and preparing them academically for middle school and high school at ACA. Not only does our elementary program feature six teacher associates to allow for more individualized attention, we also host education students from Faith Baptist Bible College for observation hours and student teaching. Through this partnership, ACA is helping train the next generation of teachers and showing what academic excellence in the classroom looks like.

Christ-Centered Discipleship

ACA elementary students and staff participate in Christ-Centered discipleship throughout the year, both in their classrooms and in the community. Each year each classroom completes a service project with a local nonprofit, including creating a piece of art for the City of Ankeny Police Department, designing Christmas and Valentine's Day cards for community members, collecting stuffed animals and toys for the Alpha Women's Center to allow them to create a Christmas Store, and so much more. Through this act of service, our students learning to put their faith in action.

Authentic Relationships

Our students develop relationships throughout the year within their classroom and across the school as ACA's building hosts students Begindergarten through 12th grade. Our fifth grade students lead class devotions and serve as chapel buddies to third and fourth graders. Teachers host intentional Bible studies with their students.

"Authentic relationships don’t just happen in the classroom. They happen on the playground, in the hallway, at lunch. It’s in those moments where we get to know those students personally and invest in them even more. It’s a joy to attend the volleyball or basketball game of my students on a Saturday morning, to know they want me there cheering them on outside of the classroom. That means a lot to me as a teacher, and it means so much to our students and parents as well."
