Karina Gogerty
I was born in Iowa City, Iowa to parents who loved the Lord and took me to a gospel-preaching church. When I was three years old, I remember hearing the gospel in Sunday School. My teacher explained to me that I was a sinner, and I needed to trust in Jesus to save me from my sins and restore my relationship with God. (John 3:16) A few years later, when I was eight or nine, I wanted to know for sure that I had a relationship with God. I asked my parents to pray with me, and trusted Christ as my Savior. I asked God to give me a verse to remind me of my security in Him, and the very next day He did: Ephesians 2:19. Since accepting Christ as my Savior, I have been blessed to grow closer to God as He shows me my sin. I love to fellowship with my church family.
After high school, I went to Faith Baptist Bible College and got my degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in K-12 ESL and Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. I graduated in May of 2022, and I was blessed to be able to begin my teaching career here at ACA in August of 2022.
