My name is Larry Schroeder. I have been an educator for nineteen years in the areas of Science, Physical Education, and Health, and thirty years of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school and hunior high levels. I also have five years of experience in athletic administration. I have a passion for working with young people. I receive a tremendous amount of joy and gratification in serving them. What a privilege it is to share that same love that Christ has for me with the young people with whom I work. I am excited to begin my role at ACA this fall as the athletic director and P.E. teacher.
At the age of twenty-six, I made a decision to stop riding the fence and seek Jesus with all my heart and soul. I feel so grateful that God has revealed to me the importance of being in His Word every day. I’m so thankful that He was, is, and always will be a God of miracles. I desire that every young person I work with sense the deep love I have for Jesus, and I want to help them grow deeper in their relationship with Him. It is an awesome responsibility to be in a position in which we can disciple young people and help them understand that the God we serve wants to be intimate with us and desires for us to need Him and seek Him. Cheryl and I have been married for twenty-eight years and have two wonderful children. Nic is twenty-two and is a senior at UNI. Our daughter Kylie is twenty-four and she and her husband have blessed us with our first grandchild, David or as I prophetically call him, “Little Hunter.” We currently live in Grimes, Iowa. Our family is a very active family. We love to hunt, fish, camp, exercise and take motorcycle trips. It is honor and a privilege to be a part of the ACA family; I am so excited to build relationships with the students of ACA.
May God Bless the ACA family!
