Mr. Kendall Stroeh
Hello, my name is Kendall Stroeh. I am originally from Luverne, MN. I graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA where I studied Secondary Education and History. After college, I taught at a Christian school in South Dakota for one year before moving to Des Moines to be with my wife as she attends medical school at Des Moines University. In Des Moines prior to coming to Ankeny Christian Academy, I have been able to substitute teach and work at Living History Farms. In my free time I love to be outside riding bike or playing sports. I am a big fan of the Twins and Vikings and love to follow them.
History has always been a passion of mine. In school I loved hearing the stories that history has to offer. I was intrigued by the opportunity to discover why people did things, and how our world was shaped by the people and events that came before us. I am passionate about bringing history to life for my students. I want them to see themselves as part of a larger historical narrative. I look forward to wrestling with and examining history, to really dive into what it means to be part of this ongoing narrative. Christian education is another passion of mine. I was blessed with the opportunity to go to a Christian school, and I am constantly thankful for the blessing it was in my life. I was raised in the church by my parents who valued my faith, and Christian education helped me develop my understanding of what it means to be a Christian and what I believe in my faith. Christian education offers a wonderful opportunity to engage learning with a higher purpose. History really is “His Story” and I believe it is an incredible opportunity to examine the history of creation in light of God’s Kingdom and our role as his servants.
