Mrs. Michele Ruggles
Hello! My name is Michele Ruggles. I love the Lord with all of my heart. He is so awesome and amazing! Our God is so faithful in every way! We can truly trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways we can acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths. (Prov. 3:5, 6) It’s so reassuring that He loves us and promises to lead us as His children. God’s Word is so powerful and there’s nothing like His Presence & the freedom He came to give us. I can’t imagine life without Him!
I grew up just outside of St. Augustine, Florida and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior around eight years old. During my teen years I went away from the Lord due to wrong friends, negative media influences, and secular music. I didn’t know the importance of guarding my heart as well as having a relationship with God through regular prayer, letting Him speak to me through His Word, and getting into His Presence through praise and worship. I thank God for the power of praying parents! I rededicated my life to God when I was 18 years old. Just before that time, I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I attended a Christian university. It was there that God drew me back to Himself through Christian music, His Word, and a roommate with a heart after God. I also met my husband, Brian, during that time! We were later married and began to pursue the call of God together. In 2001, we moved to Ankeny to pastor Word of Victory Outreach Center. It’s exciting what God has done and is doing in hearts and lives, and we are so thankful for our church family!
After standing on God’s Word and trusting Him for many years, the Lord blessed my husband and I with two precious children from Guatemala. Our little blessings attended the ACA 4 yr old Preschool Program and absolutely loved it! My husband and I were so blessed to watch them blossom in the program. After we prayed over a period of time for God’s direction concerning Kindergarten, the Lord made it clear that our children were to attend Ankeny Christian Academy. Shortly after that, I began working at ACA part-time and now serve as Food/Recess Co-Director. It is a privilege to serve the children, families, faculty, and staff in the ministry at ACA. My desire is to honor the Lord and bring glory to His Name! We are looking forward to another great year as our children continue at ACA!
