Mr. Dakota Nihart
Hello! My name is Dakota Nihart. I am a child of God. By God’s grace I grew up in a Christian household that exposed me to God and His Word frequently. I was six years old when I realized that I was a sinner and needed a savior. With that realization, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. Through God’s direction and discipleship from my family and church, I grew in my relationship with God. Through that process God put in my heart the desire to be a teacher. In response to that desire, I attended Faith Baptist Bible College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. My life verse is Isaiah 6:8: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”” Currently, I am a member of Ankeny Baptist Church. There I am a sponsor in the youth group.
I have spent the last two years in education, teaching World History at Woodward Academy in Woodward, Iowa in 2021-2022. In 2022, I taught Special Education in the Urbandale School district.
Outside of teaching I have a variety of interests. I enjoy watching and participating in sports, particularly cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Iowa State Cyclones. I also enjoy being outdoors and doing things like hunting and fishing.
I am looking forward to teaching your students, as well as help them grow as a student and as a child of God.
