My name is Cheryl Schroeder, and I have been blessed to be a teacher for the past 28 years. I spend my first fifteen years in the public school system and the past thirteen years in a Christian school setting. Most of my experience has been with 6th – 8th grade in the areas of English/Language Arts, and Life Skills. I also taught 9th grade Language Arts for approximately five years. In addition to teaching, I have coached both volleyball and junior high track for several years.
I am married to my best friend, Larry. We have two wonderful children: Kylie and Nic. Kylie is married and has blessed us with our first grandson, David. He has been such a gift from God. Nic is a senior at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in education and coaching. We live in Grimes and live very active lives. I love to spend time with family and friends, exercise, ride our motorcycle, camp, read, and cook.
I love the Lord above all else. I love spending time getting to know Him better through His Word. He continues to mold and shape me more and more into the person He desires for me to be. I love serving the Lord by serving others. I am passionate about mentoring young people spiritually and find teaching an absolute privilege. There is nothing more motivating than to see a young person devoted to God. I look at each day as an opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior.
