Ankeny Christian Academy is an independent non-denominational Christian school. We partner with families to provide excellence in Christian education and training to children preschool through 12th grade. ACA provides exceptional academics infused with a Christian worldview that encourages students to impact the world for Jesus Christ. We are a College-Preparatory school accredited by the State of Iowa.
We are a discipleship school that values a cohesive partnership between parents/guardians, church, and school. We would love to schedule a time to meet with you, provide a tour, and answer any additional questions.
Ankeny Christian Academy student hours are:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m.
(Early dismissals on Fridays allow Faculty to time for Professional Development weekly.)
Our History
Ankeny Christian Academy began in February of 1992 when a small group of devoted Christian parents started praying about their children’s education. With a $500 donation and a lot of faith they started praying for a building and staff.
In August of 1993, God led these parents to open a Christian school in Ankeny. Ankeny Christian Academy opened its doors with 27 students and three teachers in grades K through 6th. Once ACA outgrew the option of renting space from local churches, the school rented and remodeled a warehouse office building. ACA continued to add grades as enrollment grew and we celebrated our first graduating class in the year 2000. In the spring of 2000, God provided our current facility at 1604 West 1st Street.
Our current campus includes over 30 classrooms including a library, science lab, art room, music room, band room, weight room, cafeteria, office spaces, auditorium, and gymnasium.
