If you have a favorite retailer or restaurant and would like them to join TRIP as a local vendor, please give them a TRIP order form as an example of how the program works and ask them to email Jill (email address is available on the TRIP order form).
The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program is available to ALL school families regardless of income. Families earn tuition Credit when they purchase gift certificates/debit cards to be used at local and national vendors. The vendors that participate in this program are ones from whom many people normally buy various products and services. If you are already spending the money, it will benefit you financially.
Ankeny Christian Academy purchases the gift certificates/debit cards at a discount. Your family will receive the tuition credit when you purchase the certificates from the school (not when you spend the certificates). The gift certificates and percentage of tuition credit varies by retailer, anywhere from
Rebates will be allocated on a tiered schedule based on the amount spent during an allocation period. The allocation will be adjusted accordingly for each period.
- Tier 1: family purchases of $0-$2,500, receive 75% of the rebate profit, ACA retains 25%
- Tier 2: family purchases of $2,501-$5,000, receive 82%, ACA retains 18%
- Tier 3: family purchases over $5,001 receive 90%, ACA retains 10%
If you should leave the school, your credit will be transferred to the ACA scholarship fund and you will NOT be issued a refund. By IRS laws, no cash can be transferred (only credits) in the program.
To order: submit your order any payment online or complete a paper order form and attach cash or a check for the total dollar amount that you are ordering. Leave your order and check in the TRIP mailbox by noon on Mondays. Another adult or your student can bring the order in but it must be dropped off in the box.
Remember, these gift certificates are like cash. Anyone who picks up the order will be asked to sign for it. The school is not responsible for your order once it has been signed out. If you cannot get to the office before it closes, you may request pick up from the Preschool/Child Care Office.
The only draw-back to this program is remembering to plan ahead! Participating families can earn $25 to $1,200 a year using this program!
BUSINESSES: If you own a business or have family and friends that have businesses you could be a wonderful help to them. Many businesses give gift certificates as gifts/bonuses/incentives to their employees. You could help by ordering the gift certificates though ACA TRIP. The money you earn will be applied to your child(rens) tuition!
There have been a few questions about how out of town relatives can support ACA families through the TRIP program. Raise Right (www.raiseright.com) is a website where anyone affiliated with ACA can place orders. To register, you need to contact the TRIP Coordinator for our enrollment code. (email address is available on the TRIP order form).
All of our local vendors and all of the retailers available through Great Lakes Scrip can be ordered on this website. Most orders placed here will be processed through the TRIP Coordinator on regular order dates and need to be picked up at the school on regular pick up dates.
There are three ways orders can be paid for on Raise Right. Families can choose to turn in a check, in the TRIP box, by the Monday deadline. If ACA doesn’t receive your check, your order won’t be processed until arrangements have been made. You may also choose to enroll in Presto Pay which will automatically debit your checking account plus a $0.15 fee. Or you may pay by credit card with a 2.6% fee based on the total value of your order
The only exception to picking up gifts cards at school is if you or your out of town family member order from the eCard selections. Many national retailers offer eCards, however none of our local vendors have this option.
If an e-card is ordered it will be sent via email directly to the email account provided. If the purchaser paid with Presto Pay, this will happen shortly after the purchase is made. If the purchaser opted to pay by check, ACA will need to confirm payment before the order is released.
